Weird and Wonderful Wood in Haughley Park, near Stowmarket, crowned best Suffolk festival for second year in a row





A popular two-day festival has been named the best in the county for the second year running.

Weird and Wonderful Wood at Haughley Park, in Stowmarket, was voted the Best Festival in Suffolk out of more than 750 candidates in the competition organised by the East Anglian Festival Network.

The festival showcases aspects of wood and wood workers as well as stalls, demonstrations, music, shows and ‘spontaneous happenings’.

Organiser Sarah Barker said: “We are very excited to receive the award for the second year in a row, and are grateful to everyone who voted for us.

“We plan to again bring the best of Suffolk’s arts, crafts, performers and tradespeople together in May 2024.”

The festival is set to return on Saturday, May 11 (between 10.30am and 6pm) and Sunday, May 12 (between 10.30am and 5pm).
