Langton Green, near Eye fire, sees crews from Ipswich, Stowmarket, Woodbridge and more attend





Firefighters spent a large portion of last night battling a large factory fire near Eye.

About eighteen fire crews, including teams from Ipswich, Woodbridge, Stowmarket, Debenham and Eye, an aerial ladder platform, water carrier and command support vehicle, were alerted to the scene at Langton Green at 8.52pm.

Hose reels, breathing equipment, thermal imaging cameras and small tools were used to tackle the flames.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was brought under control at 12.46am.

However, firefighters remained at the scene for several hours after a stop was called.

All engines have now left.

The spokesman added that an investigation into the cause of the blaze will take place today.
