Disney concert at St Augustine’s Church Ipswich performed by Woodbridge Excelsior Band will raise funds for EACH

This weekend families will be able to enjoy classic Disney songs at a special concert raising money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The Magical Music from the Movies concert, taking place at St Augustine’s Church, Ipswich, will feature songs from films covering the last 100 years including; Mary Poppins, Frozen, Moana and Toy Story.

Those watching are being encouraged to dress up as their favourite Disney character and enjoy a sing or dance-along, as the Woodbridge Excelsior Band perform.

The concert will take place this Saturday, October 21. Doors will open at 2pm ready for a 2.30pm start.

Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite and will also be available on the door.

They cost £10 per adult, £5 per young person (12-16 years). Children under the age of 12 go free. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Woodbridge Excelsior Band are a community brass band based and have been in existence since 1846. They are a registered charity and fundraise throughout the year.

A spokeswoman for the band said: “This year we thought that combining a celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary and fundraising for a local charity supporting local children and their families was a perfect match and decided to put on this concert for EACH.”
