Poundland in Sailmakers Shopping Centre, Ipswich, set to close

A popular Poundland shop will be closing its doors after 10 years of business.

The national retailer is set to shut the store at the Sailmakers Shopping Centre in Ipswich.

It is believed that the branch will close on Saturday, February 3 and customers are being directed to shop at the new branch at Copdock Mill Interchange, off London Road.

A spokesperson said: "The store is due to close at the beginning of February as sadly, we’ve been unable to renew the lease.

"Whenever we have to close a store in those circumstances, we work hard to find other opportunities for colleagues.

"We look forward to welcoming customers to our Copdock store."
