Sudbury Dramatic Society opens auditions for first online Quay Theatre production

Auditions for the Quay Theatre’s first online production will take place next week, as Sudbury Dramatic Society seeks to support the venue during its closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A production of Anthony Trollope’s The Warden is being adapted by Pelham Elliott into a 45-minute online version, set to be filmed in the Sudbury area over the course of two or three days in August, with distancing precautions taken into account.

To deliver this, Sudbury Dramatic Society has opened auditions for around six male parts and three female parts, and would also like to hear from anyone willing to loan a cello for use in the production.

Anybody interested in being involved is invited to audition during the week, beginning on Monday, by either submitting a self-filmed piece, or by arranging a live audition – either remotely or in person.

To register an interest, contact Mr Elliott by phone or text on 07733 066589 or by emailing nickpelhame@gmail.com.
