Man rescued from vehicle in Coddenham Road, Needham Market, under the railway bridge, a flooding hotspot hit hard during Storm Babet





A man has been rescued from his car after becoming trapped at a flooding hotspot.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue was called at 11.10am to the incident in Coddenham Road, Needham Market, where the car had become stuck under the railway bridge.

Crews removed the man from the vehicle safely.

Police were also called to the scene, and recovery was arranged for the vehicle.

The railway bridge is a flooding hotspot, and was severely affected during Storm Babet.

Coddenham Road is currently closed as a result of the flooding, a Suffolk Highways spokesperson confirmed.
