A Bury St Edmunds drink driver is given driving ban of 42 months after being caught by Mildenhall Police

A Bury St Edmunds repeat drink driver, who was stopped by police on a major Suffolk road, has been banned from driving for three-and-a-half years.

Mildenhall Police posted on social media that Michael Lawrence, of Philip Road in the town, was stopped along the A14 near Risby on November 4.

Though the post did not say when he appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court, the force did say what he received as punishment.

The post said: “He was disqualified for 42 months, fined over £200 and made to wear a Alcohol Abstinence and monitoring tag.”
