Suffolk Police confirm body found in Mildenhall was missing woman Erin Hunnisett





Police have confirmed a body found in a Suffolk town was a missing 38-year-old woman.

Pending formal coroner’s inquest proceedings, the body has been provisionally identified as Erin Hunnisett, of Mildenhall.

She had last been seen in Brandon Road in the town at about 8.40am on Sunday, December 31.

Extensive searches took place and on Wednesday, January 3, the body of a woman was found in an area north of Brandon Road.

The death is not being treated at suspicious and there are no indications of any third-party involvement.

Officers had previously been supported by Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR) in their search for the body and had also asked residents and road users to check CCTV footage, smart doorbells and dash cameras.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
