Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds warns visitors of flooded car park entrance in Cullum Road

Pantomime-goers have been urged to park elsewhere as the entrance to the theatre’s car park is flooded due to Storm Henk.

The Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds has posted to X to warn visitors that the road off Cullum Road, shared with Greene King, is still flooded and impassable by car.

Alternative parking is accessible via Greene Mews, off Westgate Street, which will allow audiences to attend tonight’s Snow White pantomime performance.

Storm Henk flooded the road earlier this week and a spokesperson from Greene King previously said that the brewery’s deliveries would be ‘unaffected’ by the weather.

They said: “Despite the heavy rain, deliveries to our customers are unaffected. We are having to be a bit more flexible in our draught beer operations whilst we wait for the flood water to subside.

“Our team members are using an alternative route to the staff car park, which is used on the rare occasion the access road floods.”
