Bury St Edmunds dental practice, Tooth Club, applies for ‘3D’ illuminated signage

The company behind a new town centre dental practice has applied for permission for ‘3D’ illuminated signage.

Tooth Club wants to create the signage for its premises at 27 Cornhill, Bury St Edmunds.

It placed adboards in the window of the former Oxfam shop in December saying it would be opening this month.

The company describes the new signs as ‘3D letters, 240mm high and 50mm deep, in rose gold aluminium’.

A ‘trough light’ above will provide ‘ambient, indirect light’ onto the letters, rather than lighting within the lettering itself ‘to protect the integrity of the conservation area’.

According to its website, Tooth Club offers treatments including Invisalign, dental implants, teeth whitening, veneers, teeth straightening and clear braces, ‘smile makeover’, hygiene treatments, emergency care, sedation and facial aesthetics.

It says some of its clients ‘have featured on Radio 1, The Apprentice, The Only Way is Essex, Love Island and Celebs Go Dating’, and has other branches in Berkhamsted, Billericay, Bishop’s Stortford, Hammersmith, Ipswich, Kent, Loughton, Essex, Romford, Southend on Sea and Stevenage.

The website says: “With the latest cutting-edge treatments and ultramodern amenities, we are proud to offer an unparalleled dental experience.

“Whilst you relax watching Netflix in our brand new, state-of-the-art dental clinics, you can trust our team to deliver results that stand out.”

West Suffolk Council will determine the application.
