Lowestoft cannabis factory raided in Norwich Road – as hunt for those responsible continues

Police raided a cannabis factory in Lowestoft last week – as the search for those responsible continues.

Following a tip-off from a member of the public, officers attended a property in Norwich Road on January 9.

While inside, officers discovered five grow rooms with more than 100 plants.

As a result, Suffolk Police wanted to highlight the value of public information sent to them as they look for those responsible.

Inquiries into the factory continue and officers have urged anyone who may have seen suspicious activity at the address in recent days, or who may know who is responsible, to contact Lowestoft Police, quoting crime reference, 37/1586/24.

In addition, people living in the area are asked to remain vigilant and report drug-related activity.

Signs to spot that could suggest a cannabis factory is nearby include a strong or sickly sweet smell in the air; buildings with windows constantly blocked off; high levels of heat and condensation and the constant buzz of ventilation.

People would likely come and go from such properties at unsociable hours.
