Number 10 in Lavenham, between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury, announces move after 10 years in historic building in Lady Street





Owners of a popular restaurant have announced the establishment will be moving after a decade at its current site.

Wine bar and kitchen Number 10 will be leaving the Tudor building in Lady Street, Lavenham, near Sudbury, and will be seeking alternative premises in and around the village.

Restaurant owners Joanna Knight and Rod Benson posted on Facebook to share their news of their departure.

They said: “We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about the future of Number Ten Wine Bar and Kitchen.

“After 10 fantastic years in this wonderful premises, and with the best team in the world, we have made the difficult decision to move on.

“We intend to go out with a bang with our team, friends, and customers, with our heads and spirits held high.

“We would be delighted to see you in the coming weeks to celebrate new beginnings and the legacy of Number Ten.

“I know the loss of Number Ten in its current form will be felt in the community, but we will be back.”

The restaurant will continue to trade until Friday, January 27.
